Do auras ever reveal anything bad about you?

you can take this or leave this, but i will say it anyways- when i worked in a hospital, there was this employee who was a bona fide psychic, she saw "the colors 'round people" and there was this workplace bully, a real sociopathic rascist bigoted bully who was the cock of the walk there, and this psychic person steered clear of this person because she said he had an "evil black aura with red spots" meaning he was capable of going postal if things didn't go his way. based on my dealings with this bully, i had to agree with her. when this bad guy got pissed over something, he'd literally turn red and you'd swear you could see waves of evil come off this guy. you could FEEL his evil. needless to say, people at work left him alone, he got away with murder, so to speak.

I don't believe that auntblabby- what a rude psychic! I bet yours is fabulous! Mood rings are always green or some murky color for me, so I wonder if my aura is so as well.

why thank you :D
i need all the warm fuzzies i can get.
the psychic person told me my aura was "confused and tormented and muddled." mood rings for me turn many different colors, with no rhyme or reason to it. lots of ambers and greens and blues and hazels.

I once seen a girl crying because there were a bunch of people around and she "sensed their auras." I (and I'm sure everyone else that heard her) thought her crazy.

psychic talents are both a gift and a burden.

It's not a psychic talent. It doesn't exist. I feel uncomfortable around people; I'm not going to chalk it up to some magical ability I must posses. Someone walking by me can be extremely uncomfortable, yet I've never considered (until thinking about this example) that I'm sensing something about them that other people don't have.

At most it reminds me of synesthesia. Someone might perceive letters as different colours. Someone might feel/see emotions from people as colours, in the case of auras.

I must point out that I can't see auras. I've already gotten into trouble over this. I've been told that mine is violet, and that makes sense, since violet/indigo is the colour of the Ajna chakra, and mine is much, much more active than my other chakras.

All Auras change colour, like heat energy being read on a person.
Also to the person who mentioned mood rings - they work on body heat.

Scary. I believe black auras are on truly hateful, cruel, evil people. Some bullies are just immature then grow up, but some are born evil. These are the ones with Black Auras. Stay well, well away. I want to tune my 3rd eye so I can see them too - so I can stay away from those with dark clouds around them.

Moog - how did you open your third eye? Or were you one of the people gifted with the power of controlling it without training? I too have been told by more than one person that I have a purple Aura. I want to know what this means. You can't be an athiest. I'd bet money.

I'm not an atheist. I don't even know if this is a chakra thing or not, but that's what I call it.

About my chakra; I started meditating a few years back. One day I noticed a funny feeling in my brow, like there was something in my forebrain... a bean or small egg sized thing. It can vibrate or pulse, and sometimes flutters. The feeling was never there before. It freaked me out a little bit, but I took it to be a sign that my meditation was going well. Now it comes and goes, usually when I am concentrating, like in meditation, or sometimes when I'm reading or drawing or something and I get really absorbed. It is usually accompanied by a pleasant, blissful, relaxed feeling.

I have tried with varying success to activate my other chakras; I have experienced movement in my heart and throat chakras, but they have always been fleeting and difficult to bring about with any regularity.

I read somewhere that those with mental illness or depression should never try and open their third eye with crystals. So I can't do that. I've tried meditating but I am not yet very good at it, probably because I'm anxious all the time. I need more practice.

i'm skeptical of any of this without any scientific evidence. I want to believe in all these sorts of phenomenoms but it seems pointless to approach them from a spiritual perspective. Science can explain everything.

eg meditation etc. is not spiritual it is just a brain exercise that brings about certain beneficial states.

Science cannot explain everything, but I tend to be skeptical of some things too. But, I do keep an open-mind. I am of the firm belief that open-mindedness is the key to progress. In a universe filled with such mysteries and unexplained things, we should never be closed-minded.

These paranormal debates have been disputed and disputed until well...neither side can convince the other side of the argument. In fact, what I have found, is that the more it is argued, the more stubborn it makes the people adhere to their beliefs.

I'll wait 'til it explains everything before I make a claim like that

I agree. Brain/mind, whatever. It's a bio/physical/chemical neuro/somatic thingymawotist. I don't really like the word 'spiritual'.

hale_bopp; anxiety can be a barrier. Have you tried guided meditations? They can be really helpful. The ones by Malcolm Huxter on this page are good; you might get the most benefit from the progressive relaxation one.

Thankyou for the MP3's!

The only time i've managed it was when I was so tired in class and trying not to fall asleep.
You're asleep, (I was dreaming) but you can also hear everything around you, and when you wake time seems to have passed in a spit second.

ok perhaps i will say that as far as we know science can and may explain everything. I think that if there is a correct observation or explanation about something it is scientifically correct.

i'm not saying anything other than i am skeptical. no closed mindedness here. I personally would love for these sort of things to be true. it would be fascinating.
