I need advice about a friend with Asperger's!

I think that friendships like you see in the media are very rare IRL, and happen mostly with people who've been through life and death situations together. I hear that from NTs too. Mostly "friend" just seems to mean someone you hang out with.

Except that all the time I see girls laughing hysterically together and finishing each others' sentences and so excited to see each other and I've never had even that. All around me I see people with great friendships, happy friendships, best friends, etc. It's hard not to want something that looks so satisfying, even if it's something I can't handle.
