I love world of warcraft. I think it's more to kill the boredom than anything else. For me the choice is clean the bathroom or play world of warcraft, tidy the kitchen or play world of warcraft etc. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. I've started using it at a motivational tool, allowing myself limited playing time for each chore completed.

Yes, but not online games.

I rather other games, especially RPGs. RPGs give me the ability to make a character and be whomever I want. And change what I want. I love RPGs the most.

But I also love puzzle games and action adventure

I used to when i was depressed and unemployed.

It's better than sinking into a bottle or drugs, but it is still an addiction.

I do play online games (chiefly Mahjong Solitaire, Sudoku and Tetris), but I don't consider them an escape. My true escape from reality is the movies I love and the imaginary world I've built around it. But that's still somewhat relevant to the topic, because part of my imaginary world involves a "mental video game" based on the adventures I have with my imaginary friends.
