NB: LINKS CONTAIN RUDERY
I am pleasantly surprised. There was a thread recently about people claiming to be on the spectrum for the sake of looking cool, so perhaps Google is confirming a social reality.
On a tangent, Google does lie all the time. There is a human-moderated collection of poison words and terms that do not appear in the suggestions box, even though they are frequently (obsessively frequently) searched for. At age 5 you might expect "kitten" or "p****" to deliver the same pages or images, and for obvious reasons they do not, so Google blocks all the suggestions for the second word. There is an amusing brief article at
http://valleywag.gawker.com/5649635/the ... re-naughty which contains some expletives and amusing fetishes banned by Google. But the gold star for extra homework goes to
http://www.2600.com/googleblacklist/ for compiling the most complete collection of Google no-noes.
Why is it that it doesn't surprise me one bit what magazine compiled that blacklist?
