I like the idea of wandering, but in practice it just wouldn't work. I am very particular about stuff, and I like my routine. I think truthfully I just wish I liked wandering because it would be cool.
This, and I'm going to try and break out of my routine, in a few years :pig:

Been there, done that, and wish I still could.

I'm a mental wanderer (both meanings!)

Sometimes I would wander outside just to take a cool walk and to think to myself.

I'd love to be a traveler. I need to overcome my fear of travelling to unknown places though. I'm getting better at it.

Yes, I can see me doing this. I am attracted to what is over the next hill much more than creating my own well traveled path.

Circs have blocked it except for a few months here and there, but yah - set up the trailer of a semi as headquarters and move with the wind.

I've been living the lifestyle of a wanderer since 2007. I have a 20-ft travel trailer and I wander around the Western states, going wherever "the weather suits my clothes". In the summer I head for the cool forests of northern Arizona, Colorado, or Idaho. Then when the days start turning cold, I high-tail it for the desert, which is where I am now. My rule ... no temps below freezing!

I still work remotely part-time, so as long as I have an internet connection, I'm happy.

I rarely stay in one place more than about a month ... and sometimes just a few days. I would have guessed, before I started doing this, that living in a 160 sq ft space would be terribly confining, but it hasn't been at all. The secret, of course, is to get the hell out of it as much as you can. As long as the weather is good, I spend most of my days outdoors. My ambition is to get intimate with every hiking trail west of the Great Plains :)

Yes. Definately a wanderer type. When I was in my early 20's, not working, and had no external ties, I used to pack a few things in a bag and go to where the trains run slow and hop on. I've been all over the states on the back flat part of a train car. I love seeing the world go by. You ride it and occasionally it would slow down by a small town somewhere. If it looked interesting I would jump off, stay a day and then jump back on the next one. Kind of a hobo, but I wasn't looking for work. Just a free trip.

I'd go again tommorrow.

It seems like since I was a small child I have been wandering concentric circles around my home. Farm, neighboring forest, small town, larger town, city, country, Africa, and now New Zealand. I recently found out that I was conceived at a rest-stop in Arizona and it makes me smile :)

As my family tells it, I was wondering as soon as I could walk - at about 9-months of age. I lived on a sailboat for years, which was nice. But I had children and ended up divorced and supporting them single-handed, and now I just trave with my library cards....

It only semi appeals to me because I think I'd feel a sense of aimlessness about it all. I'd feel like I'm lost and have nowhere to belong. But on the other hand it would be nice to pack up from one town and move onto another when things don't turn out so great. Wipe the slate clean, start fresh and make a different impression somewhere new.

As a child, I travelled a lot as well, i've been to most European coutries as well as Tunisia, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia...

Australia really took the cake for me, and i'd love to hike around down there and get to explore more of the continent and the wildlife...
