Acceptance is the best cure. I do much better when I feel accepted, than I do when people tell me that I need to change to suit the NT population and keep with the times. (Drum roll). 8)

You can make an autistic person just like an NT very easily.

Kill both the autistic and the NT, and they'll have identical mental processes and social skills.

What, that's not a practical solution? Oh. Well, in that case, no. It's impossible.

Instead of arguing over a cure, how about talking about talking about acceptance of individual differences and services that will actually help us like tax breaks and extra funds for higher education and subsidized housing anywhere we wanted to live in our cities.

A single 8mm dose of lead to the head can cure just about anything. I think I'll stay aspie though

Okay that was a little crude

No, I don't think there could be a cure though. I think autism is wired into the brain so to fix it it would require that your brain wasn't created that way. I suppose if the mind could be melted down and and reformed it could be possible, but that sounds scary and sci-fi :? Then even if that trippiness was possible... would the person even be remotely the same. I'd rather not even think about it and just accept that I'll always be an aspie :)

probably not. The condition is genetic and we have no way to remake our genetic structure. We can sometimes override the manifestations by brute force but we cannot make the causes go away.
