I used to be really bad about losing stuff, particularly books, umbrellas, pens, hair rollers and barretts, especially the white ones. In 7th grade, I lost my science textbook which happened to be the very class where the teacher checked books every single day. If you didn't have your book with your name in it to prove it was your's, you got sent to the office. If you didn't pay for a new one, you got suspended. I was so terrified of telling my mother I cut school rather than go without my book. I eventually lied and said I needed money for a PE uniform which she gave me. I'm suprised, to this day, I never got caught. I vowed after that to never lose anything else that valuable again.
I keep every personal belonging I have in its own place. I never put something in the place it doesn't belong because if I did, I would be all day searching for it. Keys go on the floor next to the couch as does my purse. The hat to my uniform stays in my purse so I don't leave without it. So do my ID, money, credit cards and at least one pen.
