Ever seen an NT adult have a tantrum/meltdown?

But he wouldn't have it - and she took him out of the room to calm him down, but he got worse, and started to smash his head against the wall until there was blood (and a dent in the wall), and he then started slapping himself in the face. The tutor had to ban him from the course because of anti-social behaviour. And he wasn't on drugs or anything.

What the hell got into him to suddenly have a massive outburst like that? Has anyone else experienced an NT meltdown?

I wouldn't call that meltdown. It sounds like a fit of jealousy. Him and his girlfriend are not going to be together 24/7 every day of their life! He's going to have to accept the fact he isn't going to be with her at all times and he might not even be with her forever.

My old shrink had a tantrum/meltdown when I told him that I didn't want to see him anymore. He started screaming at my mom and I and didn't calm down for about an hour. Total baby. :roll:

I heard that his girlfriend has left him now because she got freaked out with his behaviour. They had only been together 3 months but she had never experienced that type of behaviour with him.

He might of had something wrong with him, but it definately wasn't an AS or Autism disorder. He might have just been a weird person - NT doesn't mean ''a completely perfect person with no faults''. It just means ''a person without a diagnosed disability/doesn't need a diagnosis''. They can still act unnaceptably if they wanted to.
Well, I think he needed a diagnosis of ''anger management''.

Takes all sorts to make up a world.

A meltdown and a (temper) tantrum are the same according to these sources(link 1, link 2):

Among autistic people they have two totally different meanings.

A meltdown is a loud or violent (I mean type of movement not meaning necessarily injuring someone) reaction to overload. It happens when a person's brain cannot process any more things at once, more likely to become a meltdown rather than a shutdown if there is pressure of some sort involved. It's not manipulative, childish, calculated, about not getting what you want, controlling, or deliberate, whereas tantrums are usually one or more of those things.

I had a NT get mad at me at a crosswalk for giving him the finger and he threw his cellphone at me from inside his car I would call that a meltdown. He even called the police on me then preceeded to yell at the cop. :lol:
