Question: aren't you legally an adult?

Yes. I know legaly my mum can't force any cure upon me but it just hurts me that she would say that.

It really sucks, doesn't it? My mom's a curebie, too, but at least she believes in my potential. It's quite annoying even so; I can't imagine how much worse it must be for you.

If you love her and she loves you, and the two of you generally benefit from your relationship, just treat her like she's delusional. She is. It's totally wrong; she's got something wrong in her brain that keeps her from understanding. Treat her like you'd treat a nice person who was totally convinced the sky was yellow with green polka dots.

Also, how can you have a special interest and anhedonia? I don't even know what it would mean. What does your special interest feel like to you? Why do you do it?

What is anhedonia? Becoming a vet IS my special intrest, along with zoology, Lion King and Titan A.E.. I love those so much and am so happy when engaging in those. I get a high when working on my "museum". But I also feel like there is so much more to life and that I am missing out. My mom did subject me to attempts to make me more normal but I eventualy caught on and would fight her anout it. She used to tell me I needed to "widen my horizons" and stop talking about meerkats and Lion King so much. My mother sheltered me a lot because she didn't think I could do things. I wanted to bag groceries or at least try it but she convinced me the sounds of the store would prevent me from doing so. She says I made up my own mind not do persue things but she encouraged me to doubt myself. My parents never really believed in me becuase they let the fact I am disabled blind them. I learned from a young age to believe in myself and not let other people's beliefs phase me. My mother did or said very cruel things to me as a child and my older brother phycologicaly torcured me at times. My mother says I either dreamed those things or I am blowing them out of poportion. My mother always talks about me in the future and how I can go live with one of my brothers and that I will always need someone close by to "check up on" me. She has no faith in me whatsoever.

Anhedonia is the inability to feel pleasure.

I want to point out that it's possible for NTs to do things that other NTs perceive as loving but which autistics perceive as torture. It's the responsibility of the autistic to point this out, and it's the responsibility of the NT to immediately stop doing it.

Look, the way you put this, your relationship with your mom is toxic. GET A JOB, they can't stop you (legally, anyway), and find someplace else to live. Or get a job and live there for a bit. See if they start thinking differently. If they make life difficult, move out. If not, well, you've got more money.
