I think autism and Asperger's are issues of happenstance, and are not caused, induced, worsened or lessened by anything. Maybe I'm a bit over-zealous on this, but I just hate it when people try to point fingers and lay blame for things in our lives. After all, they just proved that the whole immunization/autism link is a big fat fraud designed to hurt the biomedical industry. I have done much better with my own life, but focusing on my own growth and advancement, and not dwelling on whose fault it is that anything is difficult, or wrong, etc. I move on!

For me it's less about blaming anyone, and more about understanding how traits can be passed on (biology was one of my special interests...even majored in it prior to switching). It's just one of those things about understanding where you come from and recognizing what, for so many years, many never have.
