I eat the same thing for breakfast every day, except that I sometimes skip breakfast in weekends. Other meals I don't eat the same thing every day, but whenever I discover some new food that I really like, I want to eat it daily or at least really often for a while, for weeks or months.

Made me think of this from a dicussion about the movie "Adam." I eat the same exact foods every day and have for years. I thought I was alone until I saw Adam's freezer stuffed with broccoli and mac & cheese! This obviously must be an Aspie thing. So just wondering if anyone else has strict, limited eating habits. And if so... what foods? 8) Spaghetti, rice, and Frosted Mini Wheats here! There's vegetables too...some granola bars, fruit snacks, bread products. But seriously, that's about it!

What I do is binge on one thing. Sometimes, over an extended period of time I will have the same thing daily, so long as it's something healthy. I convince myself it has a nutrient I need everyday so I eat it thinking I will not be deficient in the nutrient.

I have a tendency to create eating patterns and stick to them religiously until I am forced to break them. Often I have a fixed breakfast for months at a time, as that's the one meal that external things outside of my control don't interfere with. Currently I am eating one of two types of leftovers for each meal (depending on my preference at the time).

Everyday I consume saltine crackers, egg whites, plain chicken, fat free cheese, mustard and coffee/tea....thats all I have been eating for like 5 months straight. I don't know what it is about saltine crackers but I can't stop eating them!

Yeah, I laughed at that scene in "Adam" cuz it is totally me! I buy the same foods and stockpile them like crazy. I am always worried I won't have them, so I buy at least 5 at a time.

I eat the same breakfast and lunch every day. I eat the same dinner for 1 week, then switch. I have been doing this since I was a kid. I used to only eat peanut butter sandwiches until I got completely sick of them. I still made them though and brought them to lunch anyway. I would just scrape the peanut butter out and put it on my Oreos instead. Hahaha. Not very healthy.

I have weeks where I will eat the same genre of food, meaning weeks where I'll eat nothing, but Asian cuisine from Ramen to Kung Pao chkn....to other more natural foods.

Then another week I will have a craving for a certain food and eat nothing, but Americanized cuisine.

I do eat the same genre of foods for weeks on end until I want something else.

My diet has barely changed at all in the last three year. Frozen pizza, mac and cheese with cheese dogs and broccoli, and spagetti are pretty much it.

In college I was even more narrowed down. For breakfast I always had a bowl of honey nut cherrios, with a waffle and possible scrambled eggs and bacon if it was being served, I never ate pancakes at college, they tasted like cardboard..... For dinner it was always a salad with the same toppings, two slices of pizza, a trip to the pasta bar and burger and fries, with the pasta bar subbed out if they were serving something from the home cooking bar that I liked.

When I was a kid the Thanksgiving turkey leftovers would last several days, up to a week if I remember correctly. When they were gone we had a family tradition of going to Howard Johnson's, a family restaurant, for our favorite "something else". I always ordered turkey.

When I was in my 20s I would go long periods of eating a large bag of cheese popcorn for dinner. But that was in large part to the fact that work exhausted me so I just grabbed the first thing I liked and filled up on that.
Now I could happily live on bagels with cream cheese, avocado, tomato and onion; eggs in almost any form; potatoes; and dark chocolate peanut butter cups. With an iced coffee drink a couple times a week. But <insert sad emoticon> I'm trying my best to cook and to eat healthy. It's pretty much working. But
still a fair amount of the above.

I usually eat the same things everyday when I have a choice but I'm not a very picky eater (I won't eat most seafood or eggs in most forms) and have learned to be more flexible with my food and vary it a bit because I know it's not good nutritionally to eat the same thing all the time and I live with other people who don't have my toleration of sameness.

I do tend to be very routine about eating fruit. I nearly always have an apple and banana everyday and orange juice for breakfast. Breakfast is the most difficult meal for me as I never really feel hungry that early but I have a long day so I make myself eat cereal and some fruit.

I very recently started to eat canned fish in tomato sauce almost every day - I just out of a sudden one day started to feel like eating this and followed this request of my organism to deliver this sort of food to it. I often eat the same things (mostly junk food) almost every day until I get bored with it because different food replaces it. So was it with tuna casserole and hot dogs in the past, a couple of years back, when I attended college.

I eat the same cereal for breakfast every day and have for years and years... my whole days is thrown off if I don't have it. In my teenage years, I'd even go so far as to cry over it if I couldn't have it. My other meals are a bit more varied though, I typically have 5-6 meals that I enjoy to choose from.

I don't eat the same foods everyday. I rotate. Only time I eat the same things everyday is if I am trying to use something up so it won't get old. But yes I do buy the same foods. Wait I have cereal everyday but sometimes I will have something different. I even buy something different too sometimes if I have something in mind I want to make or if I see something I want to try.

I love having pasta every dinner unless I am too lazy to make something. I love mac and cheese and will have that every dinner if I can. But when my husband makes something else for dinner, I will eat it. I was never picky with food.
