Why is it a bad idea? Because he is 19 years old or why? Artificialman may gain wisdom and insight...isnt that the reason people have taken these substances for millennia?

I don't recommend anyone asking a mental institution to lock them up unless they really are a danger to themselves or others. And even then I'd suggest a lot of caution.


Oh yeah, forgot about the nut farm lockup, bad idea

Possibly - but on the other hand he may also gain a nifty little psychosis.
It's risky and the end result is little too unpredictable. Once the process has started, there's no stopping it and you can come out the other side with a better understanding - or in pieces.

uh...maybe you just have someone film you the whole day. It would be a lot safer than going to a mental institution with a bunch of drugs pumped into you.

bad bad idea...not the drugs but the setting. One thing to remember about hallucinogens is that they depend on your state of mind and everything that contributes to it at any given time. Also, drugs aren't always bad but they do require some brains to do without hurting yourself. Most people do it when they're feeling good, in a place they like and with people they like...and with a "babysitter," at least the first time.

If you insist on doing the drugs then just try the most harmless one out there...Pot..and only try a little of it. You can't die from it by overdosing but you'll be a nervous wreck for hours. Hopefully, you're in a place like CA where you won't go to jail for having it.

I cant even smoke pot anymore i'm so paraniod. the only drugs I do now is beer.
i have to say, that going to a mental institution for any reason is a bad idea.
unless your seriously wacked out of your mind dont go!!
