I met my current girlfriend when I went on an extra credit field trip for my anthropology class. I had never known that she was sitting two seats in front of me in that class (I knew someone was there, I just didn't know it was her). So, we got to talking while on the field trip, then I friended her on Facebook. A couple days later, we talked on Facebook for about an hour, and I started to fall in love with her. When our talk ended, I asked her for her number, which she gave me. The next day, we were talking on Facebook again, when our chat system started to screw up. So, we texted each other and agreed to meet (her dorm building was right next to mine). So, we went on a walk, then we sat down after a while, and we ended up holding hands. She officially became my girlfriend about a week later.

I met my late girlfriend in a deli several years after we parted in the middle of... Middle school. It was a chance meeting.

At a party thrown by a mutual friend. One of the few parties I ever attend willingly (it's quieter, and there are plenty of 'safe places!')

We were both out on the back porch, me to smoke and be where it was quiet, and him to be where it was quiet. Someone was talking about zombie movies, and we both love them, so we ended up talking about zombies and horror movies all night.

We started hanging out and the rest is history.

I love that I can be me, my Aspie/ADHD self, and he loves me not in spite of, but because of it. He loves the things that others mock. Not being feminine (id rather play in the mud than get dressed up, i don't 'get' most women, dont play games) he understands and sometimes even likes my bluntness, he likes my odd interests (WWII history, medical research) He jokes that he married a dude with (lady parts) and he is thrilled about that! lol

In a school physics lesson, 28 years ago - the teacher (thank you, Sir!) asked me to lend my notes to the new girl, because she had missed some weeks of school and my notes were always neat and up-to-date. She asked me to explain a lot, because she was also learning English.

I met my fiance at my last place of work. He still works there, but I have since left and now work elsewhere owing to the lack of career opportunities at the last place. When I first met him, I thought he was stand-offish, rude, shallow and totally up himself and wanted little to do with him in that way. He is very attractive to look at and a lot of women think so too, but for me that does not make a successful relationship. However, when I actually got to know him, it improved my opinion of him and I saw his generous, funny and friendly side. When he realised how rude he had been to me when we first met, he was mortified and apologised for this behaviour and hoped that it would not dampen my opinion of him. The fact that he is cute is a bonus, but not why I went for him. In the end it was because he was funny, playful, intelligent, great to talk to, trutworthy, honest and we have much in common when it comes to our interests and life expectations. He is also ambitious and enthusiatic which I like.

At work. Because I was "on" in that environment she really had no idea what I was really like. That was an adjustment.
