I'm the very opposite: People are boring, I work with them everyday. Technology is much more interesting.

What is interesting is that the technology that has the widest level of acceptance, such Face Book, cell phones, etc, revolves around people connecting with each other.

And even you find some people interesting. I suspect that if you removed people from your life you would quickly become miserable.

Technology is a tool. Not one that I find as fantastical as the marketing hype would have me believe.

I like nice machines that work and software that does what it says on the tin.
If it ain't broke don't fix it.

That said, I can't afford new stuff till its old & broken :)

I love technology as long as it gets me on the Internet or plays music. 8)

But even the people I know on the internet are more interesting and largely nicer than most of the ones I know in real life.

I won't argue that, especially since I find more interesting people online than off. But it is still the people that make it interesting. The technology is simply an enabler.

I am not a Luddite, thinking technology should be abandoned. It's just not all that. It is useful. Sometimes VERY useful. That's about it.

Tried and true, but I only need a product to be on the market long enough to see what others have to say about it. I don't want to be some company's inadvertent beta tester.

It sounds like you decide (newer or older technology) based on the merits of each product. That sounds reasonable, but I can't remember the last time acquiring any technology when it first came out as being advisable. The price is almost always more than it's worth and subsequent generations of the product are better and cheaper. One pays a premium for being fashionably cutting edge. Do you mind if I asked an example of cutting edge technology that you acquired?

I will see the new technology and be convinced I need it. But then I forget about it.

Interesting point! Aspies are usually less inclined to be as sociable as NT's but given the right conditions, I know I enjoy interacting with others. Technology (in this case the web) has allowed me to interact in my favorite way: a forum with others I can relate to about things I enjoy discussing.

I am in between. I enjoy technology, but I would get bored if it were the only thing to interact with.
