i feel that its the only thing you will ever do, theres nothing after this life now. for me, its too long, over 80 years on earth (if i remain healthy) thats WAY to long, 20 years is good enough for me

When I was a child in the sixties I had dentist appointments that took longer than the whole Clinton administration, and sat through church sermons that took longer than the whole W.Bush administration!

I am 33 years of age. When i look back, i realize life went and goes fast. However usually in the present times it seems that time moves slowly a lot at times. All of a sudden months and years go by. This blows my mind a little. Normally i never pay attention to time, i am aware of it to some degree, usually i don't even know what day it is. 3 decades has went quickly... its bizarre

My childhood went awfully quick, but because my future looks bleak to me, it feels like all I've got to look forward to is work, work, work, never getting married or having children, and never being able to find another job because of the bad state this country is in and the amount of people on this tiny island also needing to be housed, jobbed, and educated. Oh, it sounds so desperately depressing!

I wouldn't dismiss age contributing to feelings of time. In my first 20 years or so, I thought time dragged a lot of the time, but the last 15 years have flown by in a zip. The individual days won't necessarily go quickly but the seasons and the years fly at incredible speed. There are so many things I just can't believe are so and so many years ago now... Time does fly....

I know everyone always says "Life is short" but to me my life has felt ever so long. I'm only 22 but it seems to have just dragged on and on. I find so many things hard and life is very difficult. I wondered if others with AS etc feel the same way?

I do feel it is too short. Because I have thanatophobia anyway, but I feel that I am still trying to work out what everyone else already knows about the things you need to do in society. So I need a lot more time as it's taking me a lot longer to get there.

If you don't think life is short, wait until you are my age. When your grandparents and their generation are long gone. When your parents and most of their generation are no longer living. When your siblings are old. When your children and nieces and nephews are middle age and your grandchildren are nearly grown. When you see each new generation replacing the one that went before, that's when you realize how incredibly short life is.

I think life is too short, that's why I like people like Aubrey de Grey who are working on fixing the problem.

Also if I need to I'm thinking of getting a robot body in about 2040, Then I can go exploring in places that cant support life better. Long life is not for everybody but for those with an insane amount of curiosity 70-115 years is just not going to cut it.
