Yeah, a technical truth with an emotional lie can be very effective. Like to "How are you?" the truth is replying "Same old same old, and you? How you been?", while the lie is smiling slightly while you say it. You may normally be absolutely miserable and be so today but what you're saying is true. It's how you say it that's a lie. It's a way to speak the truth, but lie with what most NTs actually listen to, your face.

Yeah, I like the idea of only saying as little as possible.....

I still don't understand why people ask "how are you" when they really don't want to know....why not just say hello????
