I think any 'nervous habit' could be considered stimming if its persistent. I'm a hair twirler... constantly. If I'm super focused or intensely bored I'll braid my hair. All of it. Then take it out and do it over again. I'm a doodler in conversations - it helps me focus. Or, on the phone I pace. I'm a foot tapper too though I'm usually not aware of it - other people call me on it constantly.

I wriggle my toes to go to sleep. I don't notice I do it, but the cat does! Thanks cat for bringing my oddities to the limelight.

I pick the skin at the sides of my finger nails. I never thought of these as stimming, but then I am only just realising that I'm an aspie.

When I was kindergarten and the class would sit on the floor, I would always hug my knees and sit on my back and then start rocking back and forth until I was sitting up and then start back on my back again. I don't remember anyone saying anything about that but when I was younger and I was sitting still I would start rocking a little bit. When I started drawing I would draw all over my work in class, I didn't rock as much. I don't know if drawing is a stim but if my hand is moving I won't rock.
Marching is also something I like to do when I'm bored. I end marching down the hallways until I reach the end where I do a rear march and march to the other end. I once did this at drill team practice though because I was put in 2nd squad and I'm usually in 3rd squad. I'd also play electronic music in my head. Also, if I was too hot or too cold I end up pulling skin off my lip until I can't eat because my lips sting when the food touches it.
I find myself holding my breath to create a pressure in my chest. My parents wouldn't let me wear necklaces or scarfs unless you could easily pull them off because when I was little I was wrapping everything around myself, but I don't like tight clothing or having my arms exposed.
