It sounds like a form of meditation, which some people can find useful. Maybe naming it after the Vulcan term is a comfort or relating to it thing.

Also, as a long-tern Original series Trek fan with a just as fannish for OS:ST mother who watched all the films AND bought the books-

I think you'll find the term used was the word "Kohlinar".

Kolinahr. Yes, I realize that.
The name 'Korinarr' is modeled after it.

Yes; I like Star Trek, and am somewhat obsessed with it now. I did want to relate it to Star Trek, of course, having to do with the Vulcans; but as you can all see, that is not really the main point anyway. Just used Star Trek as a relative baseline. *shrugs*

Hey Steve_Cory. Good to see you again. It's been a while since you left. With regards to your post, I don't know what to think. Being pretty much emotionless comes natural to me, and emotions that are felt, are fleeting and soon forgotten. But I digress. I disagree that existing in such a manner is a good ideal to achieve. For some individuals, it is an OK objective to try and reach, but it isn't for everyone, and I would hesitate to extend it to all Aspies. If you don't mind existing as such, and find emotion to be overrated, then it sounds an alright technique to perhaps try, but it would need to be suited to you for it to work, I think.

Thanks, it is an honor being here with all of you.

Yes, I fully realize that it isn't for everyone. It's just that some people have a harder time with emotions, and it has drained more energy from them in their lives than it has given them energy: this technique is somewhat for them, and anyone else who feels like they need to meditate and clear their mind.
