When I was with my ex, I suffered PND and a few other nasties. And everyone thought i was 35+ and would ask why i was with a young guy. Since I have landed on my own two feet again, i am mistaken for someone who is 17 to 18 years old. lol. If i don't have my kids with me they assume i am a high schooler. lol. I am mid-late 20's.

I am always told I look younger. I also act younger because I am still playful and very curious about everything.

if that's you in your avatar then that's absurd, I'd say 20's easy

but I am very bad at telling people's ages, no one ever guess's my age and I can't tel how old I look.

I'm 44, and I still get carded routinely for 21. That might be partly due to the fact that I usually wear young clothes... Skinny jeans, Vans shoes, and motocross-style T-shirts. My avatar looks old, but I'm in my workout clothes.

The reason I've heard given for a lot of autistic people looking younger than our age, isn't a facial feature itself, but due to making fewer facial expressions and often just having a default very loose expression, we get less of the wrinkle effect or something.

That makes sense. I'm always confused when I see people even younger than me who have lines around their eyes and such, when I don't.

I guess I look younger than I am. People always think that I am, or they think I'm a girl. Maybe I should stop shaving before I leave the house.

Though people who are required to check age due to restrictions are usually instructed to ask ID from anybody who looks like he or she is not older than the age restriction + 5 years. So here in most shops cashiers are instructed to ask anybody looking at oldest 23 for their ID if they buy tobacco or alcohol.

I would say it definitely looks like a trend here. I'm 55 and people guess me at 40 or less all of the time. I have a fair amount of grey hair too. But then these days you see people in their 30s with grey hair, so it's not so much of an indicator. One thing is that I still have hair. I think my father was one and he still had a head of hair when he died at 93.

When I was younger, I was told several times I looked much older. Since about 4th grade, I've been confused for my Dad's wife several times. A car dealer when I was that young referred to me as his wife, and he was actually so disturbed he left!

Now, I suppose I look my age. I'm not really sure.

I get told every once in awhile I look younger (I'm 37), but I don't tend to believe them. I know a lot of people who are old enough to be my parents, and I just always think their underestimating my age. :D

I've read that Aspies sometimes look a lot younger than their physical ages especially when they are teens; I'm guessing it might be related to puberty & their hormones. I hit puberty early & rite now I'm 28 & starting to go bald; both my grandpa's were bald. I don't think I look like some old person but I sometimes I feel like a teen girl who's in the body of an old man 8O

I'm not sure. People think I'm older at first, because of my seriousness and formal clothes. And my stubble helps, too. After I feel comfortable around them, I become friendly and a little too humorous, and my age goes down to around 20 years old (my true age).

Personally, I think I look physically older. My face is masculine, even a little brutish, and I'm as close to Sean Connery's level of hairiness as humanly possible to a 20 year old man.

I've consistently been told throughout my life I look 10-15 years younger than my real age. Used to be a pain in the ass when I was in my 20s to be told i looked like a teenager, and not to be taken seriously in my 30s, but now that I'm in my 40s I love it :)
