Is it difficult to get a dx as a high functioning adult?
Doctor's say I don't have it or I just have traits. Therapist have said I have it and I should be treated for it, but the doctor's don't agree.
To make it harder, I have a shizo family dx. That and AS don't usually get diagnosed together. Though I have read schiz social problems start as an adult and I had them as a kid, and my special interests are a red flag of AS too.
I have also been told that I don't need a dx. I already get disability, I could get social skills training if I wanted to... it would just be a waste of time.
