I can focus on my interests and read and think about it.

I can do the same things over and over and not get sock of it, nor the same foods.

I don't need a group of friends to be happy.

I'm more logical and act on logic than feelings

I could pick out who is different than others despite that they looked normal.

I can't tell if I am being laughed at or made fun of so I am more likely to miss it

I'm forever a kid
I'm free from NT relationship drama
I have perseverance

I love being an Aspie because I can learn at an exponential rate in a subject that I'm interested in and sound like an expert, just like shaybugz said. I also like my logical thinking, it helps me in my technical interests.

hale_bopp, I love your threads, they are so positive and remind me why I'm so proud to be an Aspie. :)

My high pain threshold has saved my ass a few times not to mention impress a few people

My quirky way of thinking has produced some great ideas or fixes at work that have made people say how did you come up with that

I look younger than 41

My daydreams are better than any film hollywood could ever produce

When bored I can day dream putting my body into autopilot mode allowing me to do boring factory work, going on long walks, and sitting waiting rooms waiting for my namr to be called

I can make absolute garbage or non-sense I am talking about sound logical to prove a point I am trying to make or to make someone sound like they do know what they are talking about.

@Hale_Bopp, glad you found your kitten. Where I live we have owls, hawks, and other predators roaming freely. I would have been a nervous wreck.

I have a great love of animals - who seem to return the affection (quoting "the Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night time"; "I like dogs, they only have four emotions")

If someone names an episode of star trek (picard to janeway) or Stargate SG1, I have the uncanny ability to name the season, the disc and the episode number, I rarely get it wrong.

My special interest gives me such joy NT's rarely knows.

Honest

My deadpan humor

I never get caught up in fads, crazes, popular fashion or popular idea's.

I can get away with acting child like. It's not like I can control it when it happens though.

I can turn off from the world and focus on my interests.

I don't get emotionally involved in people's dramas.

I watch so much Stargate and Star Trek I'm beginning to do this.

Ok here's one for SG1: The Ties That Bind.

season 9, disc 1, episode 4.

edit: in the boxsets i have it's 6 discs per season with 4 eps per disc, with the last disc having two or three, it doesn't work for me with season 1 to 3 of stargate or seasons 1 to 3 of Picard because I got them in individual cases - not boxsets, so I find them a lot harder to remember.

I don't have to pretend to be different or unique. I simply am.

NTs need tatoos, piercings, strange clothes, hair dyes, or other odd affectations to stand out from the crowd. Aspies on the other hand do it naturally without effort.

I could only answer this with something beginning with the phrase "if I weren't___________"

Like if I weren't, it's possible I would be out womanizing relentlessly. Who knows..

I like the fact that I can't be bothered playing the social politics games that others play. It might leave me lonely but I'd rather that than give up my 'what you see is what you get' personality.

And I love not conforming.

I can usually name which episode of Buffy, Angel, ST:TOS, Doctor Who, etc. from watching a few moments from that episode (I remember once identifying a Doctor Who episode from someone's description of an animated gif), but I am not so good at identifying them by disk or episode name. :D
