Well, the ensuing posts since I last looked at this thread are completely confusing.

Where did you get that you shouldn't ask?

I never said I shouldn't ask. I said it doesn't seem like I should discuss it here because everyone seems to think there was something wrong with it. Clearly I made a mistake, and if I could delete this entire thread, I would. Please let it rest in peace now!

Okay, well:

I didn't think there was anything wrong with your question.

Thanks. It was your comment that prompted the first change in title, but not the deletion of my posts. I just really shared a lot in the original post, and after the responses I got, one in particular, I am regretful that I chose to do that. I should just keep some things private, do the research myself, and wait for the psych's opinion. I didn't mean to start anything.

There was nothing wrong with your question. I think you are mis-reading what I wrote....

The definitions between these "labels" are so fuzzy that the professionals cannot even tell them apart. I could see 4 different therapists and get 4 different labels. One might say I was PDD-NOS, another Apergers, another HFA and still another might say I am not on the spectrum. THIS confusion of the definitions is the main reason that the DSM V is proposing to get rid of these different labels and just call us all "ASD". It just dosen't make sense to try to figure out what a person is anymore. You are either on the spectrumm or not and it becomes more of a binary with degrees of "functioning" assosicated with it as we go forward.

So what I am saying is that NONE of us can guess what the professionals are going to call you given your story. The professionals can't get it straight so the variables are just too great.

Does that make better sense?
