Thanks for the shameless self promotion boss. Anyway I don't really have anything else to say just need to get evaluated. Should I pursue an ASPERGERS evaluation or just an all around mental evaluation to see if rather than AS I may have a different disorder?

Most psychologists don't look for Asperger's in adults. Most of the time, they don't even think about it. If you strongly suspect AS, then you will need to mention that or risk getting slapped with the standard OCD, Bipolar, or Anxiety disorder.

True, I have already gone to my GP (am on anti-depressants to keep my anxiety down and mood balanced), he referred me to a psychiatrist and gave me a phone number but I never took it, maybe I will go back to him.

Be cautious there. The psychiatrist is likely only going to want to do "medication management" without digging into whatever issues or problems or whatever might be behind the symptoms being reported (by you) and treated (by meds). In other words, and just as with me, a GP has prescribed some meds and suggested a shrink to merely manage them. A psychologist is likely the one you will need to see if you want to get any real diagnosing done.

Oooo thank you for the clarification Lee. I just need a diagnosis for personal reasons so I won't feel frustrated and angry at myself for struggling with a certain thing if I can realize it's not my fault and it's because of a condition it would make coping and being able to focus on what I need to do much easier.

An alternative diagnosis could be schizoid (specially because the "Loner by choice, liked by all but I don't like anyone really "), but I think that the "global picture" is more close to AS.

What is your results in the AQ test?

Also keep in mind what dyingofpoetry has about psychologists not leaning toward diagnosing AS/HFA in adults. But diagnosis or not, the challenge is still the same: Find whatever kind of help or advice you might need for "coping and being able to focus" while setting aside being angry with yourself. It does us no good to judge ourselves, and the actions we need to take -- learning to cope and "move on" and so on -- are the same whether we are dealing with neurology or personal character.

You are very likely an Aspie

Not sure if this matters but my personality type is "INTJ" with the Jung's personality testing.

Yes, but maybe a bit more thorough!

My own scores were just a bit higher and lower, respectively, but you definitely seem to be in the ballpark.

I do not know what I had there, but some people here say Jung's work has since been bettered by someone else.
