I do that all the time. A classic that stuck with me was misreading my teacher's comments on my school report (misread 'erratic' as 'erotic')

I do it all the time to, exept those really dark and depressing periods.
Some times I even laugh when I sleep, and I wake my self because I'm laughing so hard I can hardly breathe..

I suspect this one might have quite a bit of diagnostic power, for a single trait. I wonder if NTs ever do this? I imagine that they might smile at their thoughts occasionally, but never to the point where it looks unusual, and that they'd usually be able to explain it, and to get the other person to see the joke.
