I single-handedly brought "your mom" back in rotation by saying it all the time, in the most opportune times, of course.

I also brought your mom back from a nice candle lit dinner and never called her again.

Well I get stuck sometimes, in 2 different ways.

Sometimes I will be talking and a word I want to use just doesn't get recalled. Get stuck trying to think of the word I want.

Other is sometimes I say a word in my head, say it a few times and suddenly I disassociate the sound from it's meaning. Kinda weird, hearing (well mentally hearing) the word without the meaning, just as a random sound.

This is exactly what happens to me, also. Sometimes words fall apart into sounds, or degenerate into awkward emotions as well.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one doing "your mom."

That's right, I went there. I went there, took pictures, brought them back, and showed them to your mom's mom.

(If you repeat a joke often enough, it becomes funny again)

I have, at times, gotten a word stuck in my head which is repeated over and over to the point it no longer sounds like a word I recognize. I once got the phrase "there is method to my madness" stuck in my head. I couldn't figure out how it got stuck in there as I hadn't heard it recently and it was starting to annoy the %$*& out of me. Of course I made the mistake of telling my mom who promptly asked me "Well son, do you feel, I mean do you think you are going mad?" in the most concerned tone I've ever heard her use. I almost laughed in her face.

Doesn't happen to me all that much with individual words, but I've been repeating a section of dialogue out loud for years since I love the way that it rolls off of my mind and/or tongue.

It wouldn't happen to be "neko to kuruma," would it?

I like the word "splendiferous" and obnoxiously inject it into conversation whenever I get the chance. Btw, this question was quite splendiferous!

Splendiferous, I say!

Splendiferous, indeed.

Did I fail to mention it was ... splendiferous?

Yep.
Sometimes it's in English, but sometimes it's in other languages. Same with phrases.

Me too. Either individual words or short phrases. They can last for months before being replaced by different ones. One used to be "it's scorchio!" for hot weather, other people find it tiresome after the hundredth time! Another couple of words I mumble under my breath a lot and they seem to be associated with feeling stressed or embarrassed.

Nope- it's actually just a silly bit from one character's near death scene. Somehow my mind got stuck on a loop when it came to that one particular phrase.

I am known to babble a few lines from Ali Project songs, though.

I do both of those as well, but I didn't think that's what the OP meant. Often it's a really common, easy word that I can't recall, which surely makes me sound stupid.

Yes, often. "guacamole" I'm laughing now. Waka-waka moley-moley!

I wrote a report about the symbolism of the road in On the Road and as I proofed it, I became somewhat convinced I had misspelled road. It just started looking weird!

Yes, there are times when certain words or phrases will get stuck in my mind. A couple of weeks ago, I kept saying, "Grand Upper!" because I like how it sounds in Streets of Rage.
