I have a coworker that I've worked with for 12 years. He seems to get me, and I have no qualms about telling him that he's mis-buttoned or unzipped. He pretends to be aghast and claims that I'm checking him out, but I think he actually appreciates being told. Would other aspies tell?

While NTs may do this sometimes, it is very common for Aspies to take comments literally rather than to read between the lines.


I thought assuming they want something would be reading between the lines because they asked if you had any. But if they didn't mean that, you misread between the lines.
