Yes, Asperger's has worked to my advantage. I love my special intense interests---I have acquired several very valuable things as a result of these interests. For example:

*master dub reel of a gold record
*piece of fabric off the German airship the Graf Zeppelin
*original roller coaster blueprints and house blueprints
*autographed copy of the Amityville Horror signed by George and Kathy Lutz
*several custom built (museum quality) HO scale houses
*large collection of keyboards, magic illusions, HO scale models, etc.
*large collection of dulcimers (hammered and mountain)
*many other things

Asperger's/autism has given me the gift of being a talent savant in music. I can play any musical instrument (without lessons and in little time) that I become fascinated with.

I was obsessed with triangles at one point, so I got pretty good at math for awhile.
Despite everything that happened to me today, I'm in an especially good mood right now. 8)
