Ephedra AND caffeine? Yeah, that'll do it. I used to drink way too much coffee before I started taking Concerta; that definitely added to my issues--caffeine causes physical tension. But that was a year ago, so I don't think it's related.

I'm trying to cut back on caffeine again. But yeah. I didn't mean to suggest it was related, more to explain what probably caused the panic disorder while I was busy burning out. I think everything played a role there - burnout, herbal stimulants, aspartame, caffeine, stress, overload, etc.
Also, the ephedra pills I took had 20mg of ephedra and 200 mg of caffeine by themselves. What I found later, though, was if I drank anything with aspartame in it, the panic attacks would come back. I can manage about a week with aspartame (tested) before I notice them start up again. I did take ephedra and caffeine for a couple of years after that and they didn't really prompt the panic attacks by themselves.

You know, usually I would be flipping out over my grades. But right now I just don't care. It's like, it seems much less important to get the grades I need than it is not to have to struggle through anything else. It almost reminds me of how when you're in pain, you'll do anything to get it to stop, and everything else fades in importance even though rationally it shouldn't. Only I'm not in pain. It's just the same effect. I don't know why.
This certainly makes sense. It sounds kind of Maslow's Hierarchyish.
