I'm always freezing in school. It doesn't help that they put the A/C down at around 30 degrees C to try to discourage skimpy clothing on girls. I usually end up sitting on my feet and curling up into as much of a ball as my chair allows to try to stave off heat loss.

I'm very senstive to the cold. I hate it. I love being hot and even I enjoy really hot tub like baths. I even stand barefoot on the street next to my house for one minute. I'll touch a hot iron for about a minute. Cold water I ekk.

I used to be more tolerant to cold weather than I am now, but I believe it has more to do with the slowing down of my metabolism (I'm 50) than anything I might call a sensitivity.

I do have an extreme reaction to getting splashed with cold water on my torso, especially, but any cold touching my body on the outside is almost reason to panic and go into self defense mode. No problem with my hands touching cold, but not my back or legs or whatever ... NO WAY!.

I often walk out to get into my car in the summer and it's about 125 degrees F or more in the sun. I like the feel of the warmth for about 3 or 4 minutes. It freaks other people out a little that I just get in and sit there with the windows up enjoying something that they would practically suffocate from. 8)

I generally enjoy the warmpth, and don't like being chilly too. I'm a rather small, skinny guy, so I guess the reason why I need it so warm is due to a lack of insulation. What I don't like however is humidity, no matter how warm or cool the air is, it's gotta be dry. Arizona would be a nice place for me to live...lots of heat, little humidity. I'm sort of like those lizards you see in the desert sunning themselves on a rock. Oddly enough, I sort of enjoy getting into that extra hot car on a summer's day just like Dirtdawg, as long as it doesn't persist long enough for me to break a sweat...usually the air conditioner starts cooling it down quick enough after about 5 minutes or so of it.

I seem to hasve a different temoperature/comfort range to everyohe else in my familky (and most of my friends.) It goes something like this.

They are feeling it's slightly chilly-I am freezing cold
They are comfortable-I am cold
They are slightly too hot-I am comfortable
They are sweating-I am slightly too warm.
They say they are kmeltiung-I am sweating boty comfortable.

I am comfortable up till about 30 degrees Centigrade. then I start feeling too hot, although my heat tolerance reduces a bit if it;s humid. But i love dry heat. People think I'm weiored when I shiver in May-and think i'm weird when I enjoty things like the recent UK heatwave with few ill effects (they're rather jealous too.)

Earlier this week, we were in the Tropical Biome of the eden Project in Cornwall. Within 5 minutes, all my companions were hot. I wasn't.

I do much better in the Winter. I can't stand the Heat, amongst the other things that come with Summer. The Summer Heat makes me extreamly grumpy and I'm hard to get along with, during the Summer Months. I like the Winter much better, because It's not quite as hot. I can also get a lot more chores done, durring the Winter Months. The Heat is just one of the many things that I hate about Summer.
