That is an interesting combination.

I used to eat salt...just salt. Sometimes I still do, but not nearly as much as I did when I was a kid. I especially liked pickling salt. Yes, I know how unhealthy this is/was. Still, I did it anyway.

I liked them with peanut butter. I used to like McDonald's French fries dipped in their vanillia milkshakes. They've changed their milkshakes recently and it just isn't the same anymore.

I usually put ice in my milk. :)

My addiction is salt. I put it on most everything.

Ooh! I used to do that a few years back! :)

Now I'm addicted to maple walnut ice cream. It's not weird but I must have it every day.

I insist on putting hot sauce on my breakfast eggs. I like Sriracha, Tabasco, or Franks Red Hot Sauce.

I also really like hot Hunan or Szechuan Chinese food. Or something a piece of sushi with a glob of Wasabi. I periodically like a strong Wasabi rush.

Also if I'm eating at a Greek restaurant everyone hands me the Pepperoncinis from their dinner salad.

I also really specifically prefer a good German/Bavarian mustard from the international food aisle instead of plain old French's mustard.

Spicy/salty/herby is the way to go! Love strong savory flavors.

Cholula Hot Sauce is AWESOME! Hot but not too hot with lots of flavor - not just hot vinegar...

Horseradish sauce on sandwiches. (most commercial 'wasabi' is just common horseradish unfortunately... the real stuff is muy expensive.)

Corse ground Polish deli mustards.

Salty is also an enduring need even though my adult tastes have refined a bit... kosher, sea, and black and red salts have replaced common table salt in our house. Along with a wider variety of pepper too. (I suppose the salt cravings explain the amount of beverage I drink daily... YET, I have normal to low blood pressure.)

Thanks for all your responses! This is a beautiful thread to me, because I got a great idea of the kinds of foods people are eating & it gave me a better idea of what aspergers is.

At least you had good taste! :D Personally I used to love orange juice and baked beans as a little kid... I'm told I would only eat cereal with orange juice poured over it and not milk... that doesn't even sound remotely good anymore! Have you ever tried balsamic on strawberries?

A lady that lives with me likes Balsamic vinegar & mango. I've never tried fruit & vinegar though and I wouldn't now because that's like a recipe for fungus like candida - sugar and something fermented. I used to eat cereal like that. Bland cereal tastes good with juice, and sugary cereal tastes good with milk.

I have a strict diet now which is basically,
- Vegetables
- Green Herbs for healing
- Fruit for energy

Do you know what nasturtium are useful for? I remember hearing something special about dandelion root. Looks like the whole plant is good for digestion & your kidney.

If I don't have a bowl of Tillamook Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream every day before bed, I don't fall asleep!
