I am sensitive to light. I could never understand how my eyes would be bloodshot after 10 minutes of walking around in large city centres when other people seemed unaffected. The glare from buildings can bombard you with sunlight. I wear polarized sunglasses a lot now. My eyes are green. I wonder if there has been studies done on relationship between eye colour and sensitivity.

Yes:

I can't seem to find any research papers, but there are references to lighter eye colors causing increased light sensitivity all over the internet, apparently.

I am very sensitive to lighting conditions because I was born with a very rare low vision disorder called Incomplete Achromatopsia. My eyes are missing a lot of the cone cells. I have a hard time seeing in bright light & glare; I see better in lower light. I always keep my window blinds closed & I usually have the light off in my room when I'm on computer or watching TV. My parents say I keep my room dark but I see better like that. I never wear sunglasses but I probably should. I don't go outside much so I manage without em

Polarised lenses are a god-send to me!

I wear mine everywhere outside, even when it's raining. I find the light too much. If I could wear them inside, I would.

If sunlight comes into a dark room through half open blinds I get dizzy and nausas. I also get diorientated in dark rooms when someone turns on a stobelight.
