Confusion

The problem is that, without staff, I do nothing. I sit at my computer and type, and that is all. I can't cook, or clean, or go anywhere, or sometimes even eat, or do ANYTHING without staff here. When I took a day off from staff on Friday, I had apple juice and a piece of toast, in 36 hours.
Sounds like me, when my family isn't around. My husband jokes that he comes home a day later and I'm doing the same thing I was doing when he left. It's usually the truth, I literally lose hours and hours of time in my own world without even realizing. He has to make my food every morning, and phone me 2-3 times during the day to remind me to eat/drink. I am responsible in that, if I have an appointment or an engagement I have to attend, I am always extremely punctual. But if there's nothing on my plate, forget it, lol. I'm in la la land.

You know, that could be overload. It's possible that if you had a good long break, you'd start functioning better.
Of course if you're not meeting your physical needs in that time, that's a problem. Would it be possible to have staff just make sure you eat and such, without trying to do any intervention or anything?
I'm worried because I know too much cumulative overload can lead to losing skills semi-permanently. You might actually end up worse off than if you didn't have this stuff.

Orr, you're fine.
mb, have you tried setting alarms to get your attention off what you're doing? That helps me a lot. My cell phone wakes me up and I IMMEDIATELY take meds; my watch then goes off at noon (lunch), 5 (dinner), and 8:30 (PM meds). At least the basics get done.

You know, I haven't actually tried alarms. I think I will have to do that for sure, because lists don't work. Thanks for the advice.

They are not allowed to just sit with me, no. We have to be working on goals. I DO get 10 minutes out of every hour to myself though, starting today, and we'll see if that helps. Honestly, I'm worried that I've already semi-permanently lost some skills...
