I find social interaction MUCH easier with foreign people

This is originally and old thread, but I think it's a good topic :)

I've always found it easier to interact with people from other countries/cultures than other US Americans. I discovered this starting in college and it's only been since I started hanging out with "foreigners" that I've found any kind of acceptance or can interact normally with people. Put me in a group of "regular" Americans and I'm lost/silent/have no clue. Luckily, I've pretty much arranged my life now so that I almost exclusively am around foreigners or Americans who are used to interacting with foreigners every day. Life is much better than before :)
