I don't have any online friends. I'm just skimming on the outside here on my own until I die, just like real life.

I consider online friends my real friends after we know each other a while. I have almost no friends offline & people I'm around online seem more real to me for some rezone. Also I consider my online girlfriend Megz my real girlfriend even thou we haven't met offline yet; we are defiantly planning to meet

Yes, online friends are still friends. I've got some that have lasted 10 years. Much longer than 99% of my in person friends.

There was a guy here a year ago named Seanrw I think that was his name he tried to run a scam here to get a free ride to see his "sick girlfriend" but his story changed a lot. He had several of his "online friends" sent him various amounts of money. When he was caught in his lie he scampered off never to return. At least not under that user name. :wink:

There was a guy named LeeDuck who warned everyone but people browbeat him into deleting his posts because their online friend would never cheat or scam them. :roll:

I've made a few friends online elsewhere in the past. In some ways I've considered them closer than real life friends I've had, but that has to do with this:

I don't think I'm to an NT level of communicating even online, but I do think that people get the impression from me that I talk as much as I write when in reality I hardly talk at all. I know if they met me in person they would think I wasn't at all how I presented myself online. But it isn't an intentional deception. They just don't understand the difference between writing and speaking because to them it's all the same.

The person you meet offline can also be a different person than they appear to be
