I do that as well. When I was young (about 9 or 10) someone actually said 'Why are you walking like Mr. Burns?' I had no idea what they were talking about...

I only do it when I'm in the water. Otherwise I stuff them in my pockets, fold them across my chest, or hold them together behind my back (which apparently, if I spoke "body language", would mean "stay away from me").

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one who does this. I was called "Mr.Burns" as a child because of my hand posture. I've since trained myself not to do it but I still never know what to do with my hands and clench them in my pockets most of the time. When I wake up in the morning my hands are in fists, totally bent at the wrist. I have very tiny weak wrist joints and my left wrist hurts and goes out of alignment a lot. I suppose I should see a physiotherapist.

Yes, I know how you mean. I sometimes do that myself, but I am aware of it, and only do it indoors when I feel like it.

It looks rather socially acceptable on the Simpsons, but when I do it as a real human, it looks really weird. :)
