I wondered as to my status as a kid for a while, before I thought a bit harder and found that I was odd even then. My current obsessions with fictional characters began back then--wow, 20 years and counting!-- and I started stimming when I was nine by constantly jerking my head. I played with other kids in grade school and even had friends among my classmates, though I felt detached even then.
Things finally went to heck for me past middle school when socialization amongst my peers surpassed my capabilities.
