Does WP make you feel more autistic?

Not feel more autistic, but makes me become a lot more aware of it. It's actually a nice feeling - like I don't have to pretend. :)

I feel more accepted and less like an outcast when I'm on here. I'm also more aware of my AS and more honest about myself.

yeah. but i think its just because i feel more comfortable here- no having to pretend to know how to socialise or put effort into deciphering people signals or put out the appropriate ones myself. plus this is my special interest right now so im imersing myself in that which is a very autistic thing to do.

Well, before I thought I was autistic, I never even knew about WP. I doubt that if I were to stop coming here every day, I would feel more like a normal person. It's actually quite the opposite. I feel much more like a normal person here than anywhere else on the internet. If that means I'm autistic, then so be it. At least now I can say to myself "It's because I'm autistic" and leave it at that.

In short, yes it does make me feel more autistic. But it's better than feeling like an alien.

I feel more autistic when I visit NT minded fourms. I am relctant to join forms about my obessions because I've always been horribly bullied on them. I perfer Deviant Art because I can talk about my obsessions on my terms...the way I perfer it.
