I had countless OCD rituals as a child. I don't remember them all but the one that I recall the best is that, if I touched something with one finger, I would have to touch it with all the other fingers to "even them out". Then I would have to touch them all again evenly, 7 more times for a total of 8. Then I would have to do it with the other hand. Sometimes I would be touching all my fingers with my thumb in this way.

I can't understand that. I think that if you touched something once with one finger you should touch again with the same finger. I think that you should do in this way, because I did and it helped me

I used to line things up when I was little but I don't anymore because I see no point in doing it.

i never lined things up, when i was little or even today. im actually a very messy person exept when it comes to my body, that mountain needs to be clean, its been dirty enough in the past when i was homeles in the wilderness, but i didn't feel that dirty, maybe its because i wasn't around alot of people.

I hate disorganization around my room, but I can't bring myself around to organize it, so I'm pretty stressed all the time.

That's interesting. My place is very minimalist. I had a painting in the closet and nothing on the walls for 4 years. I really couldn't give a flip about it as long as it's practical. It's mostly quite neat and tidy though. Disorder does stress me. I keep making a neat pile of mail and saying I'll sort through it after I settle in or something, but then I never get to it. Most of my bills are auto-pay thank goodness, but any that are sent in the mail, I end up being several months late on, and that's only because I'm getting mail that says "3rd notice!" on the outside. Last time that happened, I was thinking back to the 2nd notice and thinking I had put it aside for "just a moment" and was going to get right on it. Then I saw something shiny.

I could be wrong but I thought lots of children line up their toys. Maybe I don't understand.
