Carry a high-powered floodlight with you and turn it on indoors. Then tell ppl you need the shades because "it's much too bright in here."

It makes it easier to talk to them but I feel uncomfortable. I look in the eye during a conversation but not continuously. It would be easier to talk to them if they removed their glasses.

I agree. I wear them as much as possible. Mostly because the sun hurts my occular nerve and I might get a migraine or worse without them, but it's much easier to look people in the eyes with them. I don't have to worry about what the proper length of eye contact is. I sometime seem to be shifty because I look away too much, or creepy because I stare too long. It's just too uncomfortable, so usually don't look people in the eyes at all.

I was wondering, does the sun hurt NT's eyes the way it that bright light hurts mine or does it feel differently?

I personally don't like how sunglasses feel on my face, so I never wear them. If it's too bright out, I just squint.
