Don't mind genuinely polite people.

I don't mind some politeness, like when people let me on the bus first or let me go in front of them in a queue. I say, ''thank you''. Or even when people try to be friendly to me by making small talk. That means they must like the look of me, instead of scowling at me like I've seen some people do.

But today when my bus came into the bus station, everyone started moving towards it, including me, and a woman (who was standing in front of me the whole time while I was waiting) didn't move, instead just folded her arms and looked around as though she was waiting for another bus to come in. I instantly knew that body language, and assumed she wasn't getting on the bus, so I didn't see any point in asking. And I was right - she wasn't getting onto my bus. If she had moved toward the bus, then stopped, I would of been unsure what she was doing, and so would have asked her if she was coming on this bus or not.
