I think he was saying he felt the same way.

Sorry! Didn't mean to take the p! It just made me giggle - I do have an odd sense of humour...

Thanks for the replies. By hearing how others with AS work it helps me to understand my own brain better.

I try to know everything and take everything in all at once. Like if I was doing a report for school on guns I would check out every book I could find on the subject take the books home and read everyone. No matter how little time I have for my assignment I just would fell compiled to read all and know all the information before me.

That's why i never get done with anything because i spend to much time on "the little things"

This links into the discussion about perfectionism. I think maybe we try too hard to know everything and cover every possible option when giving an answer, and the sheer scale of it all is daunting.

I know I get overwhelmed, but I can't help wondering if maybe I bring it upon myself?

It happens to me always when I get obsessed with a new subject. Last weekend I finally became obsessed with the TV show Lost, spent almost five days reading theories on the net, somehow I feel like I must read them all, I can't stand the thought that I missed some little clue in some episode of the show... but I'll never finish reading the whole web so I have to make myself stop, right. Discipline, discipline.
