Languages and Memory, though my memory works strangely. I can recall in detail the exact words someone used in an unimportant conversation that took place 15 years ago, but if I walk out of the kitchen while I'm baking something, I instantly forget that I was baking until it's burned.
I'm glad you said that, because it reminded me that I had banana muffins in the oven that had baked 40 minutes more than they were supposed to.

Anybody want some carbon?

I do a LOT of artistic stuff -drawing, tapestry, soft toy making (If you can call cuddly Dalek creatures that) and a LOT of creatyive writing (poetry, fan-ficytion, original science fiction. My Maths used to be appalling but is, to my surprise, slowly improving and I also enjoy number games like number crunchers and soduku.(sp?) I sing as well, and I can vaguely Irish dance. When it comes to topics of a special interest, my recollections of facts sometimes astonishes people, but my general memory is just c**p.

Excellent:

-art (2-D)
-memory (not eidetic but damn close)

Very good:

-poetry writing

Good:

-language acquisition (due mostly to excellent memory)
-music (not trained, but some raw talent)

I have a photographic memory, am very numerate and am a talented musician. I enjoy needlework but cannot draw at all.

I would say photographic memory and visual-spatial skills combined are my best areas

I'm good at music, taught myself classical guitar at a young age, i am not so good with music theary but have something of a feel for music....

As for writing, that's my real talent, i'm good and very imaginative, though i have very narrow interest as to the type of writing i do ( fantasy and scifi)

I am rubish at maths....

Language acquisition is one of my strong points - I am good at learning vocab, remembering the spelling of words and stringing words together (ie. grammar.)

I used to be among the best in the school at maths, but as it's become more complicated, I've been falling further behind. My mental arithmetic is still good however.

I am talented in painting and drawing. I taught myself to draw and shade accurately before the age of 12 and began taking portrait commisions at 14, but soon quit because they were too boring. I began creating my own original body of work when most other teenagers were struggling with basic skills. Now i'm a senior at an art school, and i'm probably the only student who has gallery representation. the main problem with my skills is that they're so much fun i just want to spend all my time in the studio and i have to remind myself that i should socialise. Then when i do socialise, i feel guilty for not painting. Hopefully i'll be successful enough to justify it all.

I am terrible at math, though when i was tested recently the neuropsychologist (who diagnosed me) said the way my brain works i should be great at math. But i hate it. I got by in school by just memorising everything because no one could explain anything properly to me. (Imaginary numbers? My answer is 3 Unicorn! Why can't it be?)

My long-term memory is good, like early childhood, but short term is bad, and names and faces are horrible. (Double social faux-paux!)

I was good at French in high school, but i wouldn't call languages a real talent.

I have no musical ability other than memorising lyrics and instrument noises so i can sing along.

Very interesting. I always have felt overly-talented in contrast to my peers at school, etc., but once I get into a group of other Aspies I start feeling terribly average.

I'm still wondering if that's a good thing or not.

Combo for me. I picked up drawing from a friend, and at first all the drawings were rip-off of his, but I gradually got ideas of my own. It's odd, because I only feel the urge to draw when I'm at school, and whenever I'm at home I just don't feel like drawing at all (I'd rather be here!). However, I like to draw (at school) so much I've filled up about five drawing-specific books I call Doodle Books of Doom. I don't think I'd like to make comics, though. Too much of drawing similar things, I'm more of a concept designer or a drawer of cartoon stills.

Another recent talent is Creative Writing. I recently got a Merit for Creative Writing in an Exam (Merit is like a B+). Creative Writing is something I'm best at typing. Give me a pencil and I'll second guess everything, but give me a computer and I'll have an excellent story in no time! I've got a story of my own which I'm typing right now; so far it's about 1/10th of the way to completion and is 65,000 words long!

I'm thinking of getting a harmonica sometime soon, as I'd like a little extra thing to do while waiting for the internet to work again (just flashes on and off, very annoying) (I heard it is fairly simple to play, and it's quite portable (ever tried fitting a piano in your pocket?).

Yeah, it wasn't a good idea.
