Sadly, no. They preferred amorphous epithets like loser and weirdo.

And aspies are considered the insensitive ones... I have been called ret*d, weird, and more currently a robot (former call center job - don't ask). They are the ones with the problem - not me. I hate people who think they can get away with treating others like crap because they are socially inept, considerate, process slowly, and go mute under stress. I wish they would fall off the face of the Earth. Not happening any time soon, so better to know there is nothing wrong with you, and they can go to hell.

Hmmm, what is it with call center people calling us robots. When I used to work in one, I embraced it, even managed to find a piece of clipart with a computer wearing a headset...

Same here when I was at school.

At work I've been called a robot.

In my computer science classes, my teacher has called me a computer which is kind of close to a robot. I think that's a compliment, though, lol.

Anyway, it's funny that you'd identify with me, because I've stared at your avatar, title and username a bit in the past (far more than usual) because it seemed intriguing. I wonder if this means something, like you're psychologically similar somehow? Probably not, it's probably intriguing to everyone, haha.

Take that as a compliment. Because that would imply you're logical, smart and reliable, right? :) Think about how many people love R2D2? Wall-E? Someone who's like a robot with a bit of personality is totally adorable. :D

It would actually be a compliment for me. I am purposely trying to not be as human as possible. :?

When I was younger (about 7 or 8 I think, didn't know about AS yet) a couple of boys were teasing me and I responded by just staring at them. They must have gotten annoyed by my lack of response and threw a rock at my head. I didn't move or flinch (I have a very high pain threshold) I still just stared at them. They called me a robot and walked away. Once they left I started crying though. But back to the topic, yes I have been called a robot.

It's been suggested on certain fora that I am an AI. This was primarily due to my posting style and frequency.

When you worry that you might have latent schizophrenia, I can relate to that. I also relate to people when you speak your mind and it offends people because I used to do that on a lot on forums, until I got tired of the hassle.

I have a fascination with Mesoamerican mythology and culture. I used to copy images from the Codex Borgia a lot when I was a child. I've always been fond of that picture of Tezcatlipoca.

I've had friends jokingly call me a robot. I considered it a compliment, since I think robots and electronics in general are awesome. Some adults have said I seem like I'm vulcan, which I also consider a compliment. It probably helps that it didn't seem like anyone meant it in a rude way. When people do feel like being rude, they usually call me emo or suicidal, due to how quiet and blank faced I am around people I'm unfamiliar with. I've also been told I'm a Daria-wannabe. I never even watched the show when I was younger, and only watched a few episodes after being told this out of curiosity.

I was once told my voice is really relaxing, while talking to customer support at one time. I thought it was odd, because my voice is very monotone and blank-y. But considering the person on the phone decided to have a 20 minute off topic conversation consisting of them asking me questions, I felt flattered. I also considered the person was bored or possibly quitting their job since I can't imagine their superiors would be very happy for them to spend so much time casually conversing when they should be helping other callers.
