I am not obsessed with food. I am awaiting the advent of the nutrition pills to replace food, so I can expend many fewer thoughts and actions on food and feeding. This will leave me more time to hyperfocus on my special interests.

Most of the people at my mother's workplace are obsessed with food. She tells me that food is what they talk about 90% of the time, the other 10% of conversation being devoted to shopping.

I can pretty much only eat sweet foods to be honest. So its basically cereal, chocolate, ice cream...not very healthy i know. Sometimes i can eat savory food, but not certain textures, nothing with bits in. I despise bits of onions and vegetables in food.

I'm quite the opposite. I hate cooking and I get very little joy from eating. I do however have an oral fixation, so I eat quite often, but it has nothing to do with food. If I don't have something to chew on then I feel strange so often I eat just to chew on something. I never quite understood some peoples obsessions with food. I mean it at looks the same in the end;)

I'm not picky about what I eat, and I don't obsess over food. To me food is just something you fuel the body with to stay alive.

You're a vegetarian and we are told to expect meat? I don't quite understand that. Do you order the meat in restaurants so that you can sneer at it?

...aaaaand this may be part of the reason I don't know how to act in a social setting. Ugh.

Sodas and colas of various brands seem to be my current food obsession, though that might be due to all that caffeine.

I expect I shall be toothless in a decade or so as a result. :(

Food is a sensory experience, so I'm not surprised that people on the spectrum are inclined to become foodies. One of my current weird fixations is with fine dining...I'll look up restaurant menus and imagine what I'll order. Mmmm.

My diagnoses - social anxiety disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

I’m no longer involved with the ASD world.

I love good food. I am a picky eater too. There are some ingredients that I will never use or want in my food. Overall, though, I'd happily consider myself a foodie and a budding cook. I don't know what I'm doing yet, but I have a lot of enthusiasm. :D
