I've never noted this before, but my dad has told me he exhibits a few traits like me. For example, he sometimes has to be told about "tone of voice" I frequently get told I sound impolite when I'm not trying to. I think my dad is the only one. My sister exhibits some OCD traits though.

It's possibly too, that our parents never had the autistic diagnosis we get today.

That's what I've been thinking as I've been trying to see how everyone else acts/reacts lately.

My parents are both senior citizens. This was literally just being discovered around the years they were born. Plus they were poor. There wasn't room for any other problems in their lives as children except having enough to eat & avoiding beatings.

Many times in the past I've been told sheepishly by them that something similar bothered them but that I just needed to ignore it or get over it or whatever. Probably because that's what they feel they've done.

Both my parents would definatly be diagnosed with AS if they were kids today. Espicaly my mom. My mom was never really an eye contact nazi and has told me it makes her uncomfortable making eye contact as well.

My father and brother both have aspergers as well as me, and my mother has some OCD tendancies. Its always made it very hard for my brother and i to get along, he finds it fun to argue with peoples opinions and a mental exercise, and that just makes it seem like im less understood then usual.

Yeah. One of my parents loves to watch Star Trek everyday and loves humming the Star Trek theme. Hardly ever leaves the house except to go to work and back. Doesn't want anyone to call him because he says talking to other people drains his energy. Hates crowded places where lots of different noises are going on all at once. My grandpa on my mom's side is kinda the same way (except has friends but seems way more ADD-ish).

My Dad and my sister both have Aspergers. My entire family have different disabilites due to my great grandfather and great grandmother they are first cousins they married and the rest of my family ended up with different disabilities from then on everything from bi-polar to autism mostly autism, AS, Torrets syndrome has been in my family. My family on my Dads side are from my grandfather onwards and his sisters and brothers and families are extremely short 4 foot 8 to just 5 feet tall I'm just 5 foot. On Mums side three of Mums family have Aspergers but don't wish to speak about it and I feel my Mum could have Aspergers too.
