(Quite a few of us have no friends, it seems. I'm usually happy to be left in peace alone, but when things start coming unstuck it can be scary to realise there is nobody to talk to. My special interests have collapsed in ruins since I started concerning myself with autism, because I now know why I was following them so obsessively. Autism itself has become my special interest now, but you can't go round talking about that to strangers so it all stays in the head. Since losing focus on my special interests my stimming has come back and my mind feels like a balloon. Sorry, that's off-topic.)
