What sort of change would you like this treatment to provide? and what makes the NT way of life so great?....I will admit I feel like I probably wont get anywhere in life but I don't feel being normal would be the better option.

If I could press a button and become NT I would. Compared with the people I grew up with, I know a lot more about science and how the world works, but they know a lot more about being content with life.

It's completely speculative to say that evolution is synonymous with socialization, what will humans be like in 50 or 100 years? We don't know, and obviously the assumption is being made here that we are someheow less social than everyone else. What animal are you talking about? What environment? Humans today are forced to live in a over-socialized artificial environment. If this became not the case, how do you know Aspies would fare any worse?

To have a life you have to have a JOB that PAYS THE BILLS this = REALITY

Most NTs do this at a young age socialize get connections networks and GET JOBS and MONEY and can socialize and communicate with their fellow co-workers, as an aspie working in a :idea: NT workplace it can be VERY CONFUSING...VERY CONFUSING

Ive worked in Hotels, fast food and a few other jobs, if you dont fit in your INSTANTLY OUTCASTED,

In the wild, if you are outcasted you have a much bigger chance of dieing, being eaten or killed.

Now its time to hear the opposing side of " im doing fine an I have AS, sure i dont have a job or stable relationships, but Im fine being consumed in my special interest"

I want there to be some sort of help for aspie people, not support groups, but actual treatment, that makes a real change, because it seems so far the only way to treat AS is to eliminate the gene, and There are many aspie people out there who only care about themselves and their desire to have a child, where this child is born into the world with AS and they have to now go through intolerable symptoms because their parents felt like reproducing.


and no God did not make you born with AS "for a reason." people are born with genetic defects,, no divine reason intended, just faulty genetics.


I totally agree with every single word you have put here. And nobody can make me think any differently of your excellent-worded post you put here. So I don't want anyone arguing back saying, ''but you are who you are....'' nope - BS. AS is a curse. It's not who I am meant to be, I had a healthy birth, and all of my family are NTs, so something went wrong somewhere. I am just born to be outcasted. It was a fluke, I think. The bits in bold are what I agree with the most.

Everyone has different opinions on the matter. Mine just happens to be that I'm okay with being and Aspie. I've said it many times before, and I'm going to say it again, AS is part of who I am, and I can't change that. Not who I am, but part of who I am. As the quote that used to be in my signature said, "So what if I'm different? Difference is what makes the world go round. If we were the same, the world would be boring!"

I've learned that when people say they "value differences" or some similar notion of "promoting and valuing diversity" or some such, they really mean they value "good differences" and their definition of 'good' is entirely subjective. Ultimately, it comes down to whether 'the difference' makes people feel happy or comfortable or some other emotional state they like -- if the difference tends to create a negative emotional state (Like "eww" or "creepy" or "distrust" or "uncomfortableness" or something like that.), people dislike it.

Entire societies built upon the structures of normalisation and socialisation the NT way - that's what you're up against constantly - and they don't see a need to justify their behaviour as opposed to questioning the aspie behaviour due to the classic argumentum ad populum.

The world would be a boring place to live if we were all the same. We need differences in this world and besides, I prefer people who are different. :)

They're not content with life. That's why magazines have so much "self help" content and promote "How to lose 10lbs in one week!" articles right next to photos of 7 layer chocolate cakes.

If you don't want to be alive and if it's not worth the effort then you know what to do.

There will never be a cure. Deal with that information however you like.
