Fior has two pair on his wallet, and uses them all the time.

I wear earplugs in all forms of public transport. If I leave them at home by mistake it makes the trip an ordeal. Unfortunately no ear plugs are 100% effective so you still hear muffled noises. I would love to wear earplugs all the time in the city but it's so obviously a sign of losing it that I rarely do.

Only when camping or at my Nana's house because a lot of people in my family snore loudly unless I have my iPod.

No. I listen to my Zune in public sometimes, but the problem with that is constantly adjusting volume. Some songs are soft and require the volume to be turned up to hear. Then a loud song comes on next, and my ears suffer. Also, I have to turn up the volume to hear in noisy situations, such as crossing a busy road on campus. Once it's quiet again, I turn the sound way down.

i have big chunky sony headphones that i wear over my ears, because they are much softer and conftable on my ears than earphones are, they also block out alot of noise when i dont have them plugged into any music and they keep my ears warm.
they cost £12 got them from local asda sony "DJ" headphones apparently.
