If I tell anyone, I'll lose my powers.

I bark at dogs and meow at cats sometimes. Then I notice the weird looks I get from other people and stop because I feel self conscious :?

^ I make animal noises a lot around animals. I think the animals like it, though they probably dont really know why I am doing it...

But yes animal body language is so much easier to read than human... they are a lot simpler. And so am I.

Yeah talk to them all the time, had some good conversations with Jessy the dog up the road.

I think that I can relate better to animals than I do with people defo, sounds really silly but it's just the way it is for me. I can prefer being in the company of a dog or cat rather than a human being at times.

I find it a lot easier to talk to animals than I find it to talk to humans. Animals listen to me while humans ignore me.

Ive always had an innate connection to animals.
I had a dog growing up that was my only real friend, and dogs certainly still seem to prefer to approach me over others. On a good day, even wild animals such as deer and black bears seem to sense my "non-threatening nature" and allow me to approach them.
Eye contact with animals was always easier for me than with humans, and eyes can certainly reveal a lot about a being's state and intentions.
Although most animal communication is nonverbal, being able to make the right sounds at the right time can also make the difference between an aggressive animal and a curious one.

I am the unofficial "animal whisperer" in the family. Let's just say that I understand animals more than I understand people. Animals seem to be able to sense when you mean them well and have always been drawn to me because I'm really good at reading their body language and emotions. Especially with cats. It's almost like a chemistry that develops between them and I. I have "trained" them without actually training them. They can read my signals and end up doing what I want them to do.

One of my cats (Pixel) is EXTREMELY intelligent and will play a chasing game with me. She loves it. The other (PJ) (isn't as intelligent as Pixel but he's not "stupid) is a sweet boy and loves his rubber bands. Both of them know what "Are you guys hungry?" means.

I can. I think my cat understands me. She is almost like a dog. She is very smart. I love her. :)

I can understand animals better than most of the people around me. All that time I could have spent understanding NT social rituals I spent instead on cats.

I can also interact with them in ways that seem to involve communication, although I can't really say for sure. I can say that they seem to "get it" often enough to beat chance, and that I pick up on things other people hardly notice.

I wouldn't say I understand them well or perfectly, though.

This.

Actually, I guess I can communicate with my cats to some degree, but I don't have any unusual communicating-with-animals gifts, certainly not with ones that aren't part of my family.

I find animals much easier to read than people, and I've always been very relaxed around them. In fact, I spend far more time with dogs than I do with people. I've been a groomer for 5 years and have worked on my own, running my own business for 3. Clients love that their dogs are happy to see me, and they seem to find it normal that I'm looking at the dog the entire time I speak to them. I get tons of alone time, and I don't have to commute. And I have all kinds of dog friends that I see regularly. Actually, if it weren't for some of the dlients, this would be a perfect job!

Yeah, but conversations tend to be quite one-sided.

I wouldn't say we were like the Doolittles, but my daughter and I appear to give out something that attracts animals. My parents' neighbour knows when we've arrived on the street as his dog gets really excited and he's not like this with anyone else. He calms down as soon as we speak to him. When I was a kid, I had dog friends; the type of dog who was allowed to roam the streets and would come to my house to play with me. And my daughter's nursery had a couple of horses. They would walk over to the fence when they saw us (seldom did this with anyone else, unless they had fruit) , then they'd act almost hypnotised when we spoke to them.

when i was young, i heard that my auntie had a parrot who could talk very well.
i became eager to meet this parrot, and when i finally did, i was disappointed.

he was very arrogant. he kept interrupting me, and not once did he consider what i had to say.
as well as this, he kept repeating the same thing over and over, even when i tried to tell him that i had already heard and understood. i asked him if he thought i was stupid, and he remained silent on that matter (thereby indicating that he did).

there was an awkward silence.

then he revealed his homosexuality when he started calling me a "pretty boy". "you're a pretty boy aren't you ?" he said, and he repeated that a few times, and after i explained for the fifth time that i was not that way inclined, he went back to talking about cups of tea, and i thought we had already covered that.

i went away perplexed and confused. i never spoke to him again.
