I may have been a bit sarcastic in one of his topics but I never offended him. When someone posts how others here don't sound like Aspies, that doesn't seem very nice.

What's wrong with that? You guys are blind if you think that autism doesn't affect your ability to get along with others and affect your ability to achieve various goals that are IMPORTANT in life, such as with careers and relationships. Well maybe part of it is there is not a cure, and to many of us its more important we learn to cope with our existing problems and that society gets off its high horse and realizes not everyone is going to fit in a little box and quit trying to shove us in the box. At least for me I don't think there is any way to cure the person I am even if I did not have AS I would still be me just without it no cure for that.

While I don't rule out the fact that he could be legitimately have AS, it seems to many of those involved in the threads (myself included) that he is actually calling out on us. I treat him like I usually treat any WP user here, and I posted as usual. Now, when I felt that the issue was escalating, I made attempts to tone the situation down, by injecting humor into the issue (notice the tip cups I posted on one of his topics).

As I've said in one of my replies to this topic, his take on highly sensitive issues are something that can definitely earn the ire of many of the WP members, and quite frankly, his statements were actually offensive. Troll or not, I don't believe Wrong Planet is the right arena to advocate cure for autism, and apparently he did just that.

Another post by him. In one other post, he says "maybe we should just kill all autistic babies." So it's possible he's a troll, but considering he's discussing his personal life a bit in that thread, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt.

This I think proves he's a real person. He just has different views than us and is probably more low functioning. So, we should feel happy with ourselves knowing that this time, WE were the dreaded NTs oppressing people different from us. Even if, the guy is/was a troll, we've just proved that "Aspies" are not any more loving, kind, or really nicer in anyway compared to our "NT" counterparts, and that put together we have a groupthink mentality too. May God have mercy on us all.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I was suspecting that he was probably intellectually or verbally lower functioning than the norm (It could just be a matter of a foreigner learning the english language), and so people gave him much less slack because of those "inferior differences" and started picking on him, much like NTs give aspies much less slack because of their "inferior differences".

So if that is the case, I would take it as a compliment then if I were him. But honestly if I were in that position, I would probably post more threads just to piss them off because I wouldn't take crap from people.

I'm slightly insulted that people seem to think that "lower functioning" means "offensive" and "rude" and whatnot. Autism should never, ever be used as an excuse to intentionally piss people off or say things about killing babies. Just, no.
